光通信発祥の地 石碑
西澤氏が所長を務めた電気通信研究所内の敷地にある「光通信発祥の地」の碑。 光通信関連の業績を讃えて, 元スタンレー電気社長の 手島透氏によって 建てられました。同様の碑が川内キャンパスの旧半導体研究所敷地内にもあります。
